FHSD Board Dismisses Community Outcry over Anti-Racism Resolution

Last night, newly elected board members dealt a heavy blow to our community. In a sweeping 5-2 majority vote, the board adopted Policy 0299 which is set to automatically sunset resolutions that were not signed by current board members.

Despite our community showing up to share lived experiences of racism in our district and allies showing up for support, the board chose to ignore the outcry over concerns of doing away with the district's Resolution in Response to Racism and Discrimination.
